Another Month, Another Job

Yes it’s true, I am leaving my current position as Lead Web Developer at The Journal Register Company and joining the highly creative team at Klunk & Millan Advertising Agency.

I was only at JRC for 2 months and I feel bad about leaving so soon. I had some goals I wanted to accomplish when I first got there but sometimes unplanned events are the best events of your life.

My commute will be cut from 3+ hours a day to 40 minutes. That means my round-trip 100 mile journey a day will be about 38 miles. That is a plus. That is not the main reason I decided to leave but it sure didn’t hurt any.

After meeting with Klunk & Millan I knew right away I wanted to work there. The team was great, the creativity and skill were tremendous and the team atmosphere seemed to be truthful and honest. Meaning it wasn’t just some BS, they actually work really well as a team and I am happy to soon be a part of that team.

I will be working as a web developer and primarily with PHP, jQuery, CSS, etc. The usual tools. What was exciting to hear recently was getting involved with iPhone applications. I can’t wait, new things get me excited, jazzed and ready to dive in.

Unfortunately I have to leave some really good folks at JRC. They are a really good crew going thru some interesting changes and I wish them the best of luck. I have apologized to many already for leaving so quickly but once again, I apologize and I wish you the best of luck.
